Construction Update:  

 Phase 3B

Phase 3B consists of upgrades to the existing gymnasium. The building will be brought up to current accessibility requirements.  Three wheelchair lifts will be installed.  Door ramps will be redone.  Most doors will be replaced.  Air conditioning will be installed.  Bleachers will be removed and one new set will be installed.  A wall will be built between the upper and lower gyms.  The upper gym will become a dance/yoga/aerobics/wrestling room.  The roof will be replaced and the building exterior will be painted.  New gym floors will be installed.  A sports medicine complex will be built within the building.  Portables have been installed in the parking lot behind the Main 3-story building for the coaches and female PE teachers, along with showers and locker rooms for the girls and team rooms for boys and girls sports.  These portables will be in place for about a year while the gym is being reworked.  The contractor will use the parking lot in front of the pool for their lay down space during construction. The start of this project is contingent upon the Phase 3 contractor finishing their work on the Event Center.  We anticipate the existing gymnasium will be complete and ready to occupy in Spring 2011.
