Schedule Change Requests

  • Any schedule change requests must be submitted via the online form that will be available under the Counseling tab or getting a form in the Counseling Office beginning Friday, August 11th.
  • All forms need to be turned into the Counseling office for consideration. You can go to your Infinite Campus account to see if changes were made. If no change, that means your request could not be honored. We will not accept requests via email or phone.

We will not be meeting with students individually about their schedules, unless the counselor deems it necessary.

  • The only schedule changes made during the first week of school (August 14th – 18th) will be for the following reasons:
    • A required high school course is missing (e.g.: English is not on student’s schedule)
    • There is a hole in the student’s schedule (e.g.: Student does not have a course in period 2)
    • Incorrect level placement (e.g.: Student is enrolled in Spanish 3, but should be in Spanish 2)
    • Dropping an elective to go from a 7-period to a 6-period day.
  • You will be able to complete a Schedule Change Request Form for electives starting on August 21st.

Divya Wadhwani was a senior at California High School who passed away in January 2015.  Divya’s passion for learning, work ethic, positive attitude, and kindness were unsurpassed.   Her unwavering dedication to her education was particularly remarkable given the significant medical challenges that she faced throughout her lifetime.  Here is a link to an article about her from The Californian.

Each year the Special Services Department presents a graduating senior with a modest financial award recognizing that student’s determination, work ethic, attitude, and growth.  Typically, it is a contribution toward an individual’s postsecondary education/training.   Over the years, the name of the memorial award has changed, but it has always been about honoring those who have exemplified a passion for life and for learning.  For many of us who knew Divya, this award truly captures her spirit and inspiration.

If you are planning to drop a class, the deadline is February 17th without penalty. You will need to find a class to aide for if you choose to drop a class. You cannot enter another class at this time.

If you drop a class after the 17th, the teacher will either give you a No Mark or F and it will be recorded on your transcript. Again if you drop the class after this period, you will need to find a teacher to aide for.

Classes will not be dropped and student will still need to go to the class until the proper paperwork has been turned into your counselor. Please see your counselor if you are thinking about dropping a class.

Seniors, if you are dropping a class, you will need to contact your colleges before doing so to insure this does not affect your eligibility.

Meet San Ramon Valley Unified School District’s new Superintendent Rick Schmitt at our “Coffee with the Superintendent”. At this coffee, the Superintendent will share a little about his priorities, the District’s “Framework for Excellence” and his philosophy.  What Mr. Schmitt most appreciates is hearing from parents and one of his priorities is two-way communication. He always walks away from these meetings having learned new, interesting and important information.

The Superintendent will be meeting with every school parent community this fall. If you can’t make this event, check out details of other meetings listed at
