Girls Do Workshop
Ever wonder “What do engineers actually do all day?” If you are a young woman in 8th, 9th or 10th grade, now is your chance to answer to that question. Recruit your mom or another important adult in your life and sign up for the Girls Do workshop, to be held in the Cal High library on Saturday, March 24th from10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. You will work together to build some basic engineering projects, and along the way you will explore how engineers not only need to know the science, but also need to have a creative flair when designing new products. There will also be information on engineering careers and engineering classes, engineers on hand to answer your questions, and snacks to keep your creative juices flowing. Space is limited to 40 teams, and registration ends on March 19th. So don’t delay, sign up via online registration form, which may be found on the Cal High web site http://www.calhigh.net/, click on Student/parent Resources, then click on Engineering and Design Academy to find the link on the left side of the page. There is no cost for this workshop, so sign up today!
