Students Advance To State Level Competition!
Congratulations to Millie Hanson, 12th grade, and Natalie Ordway, 11th grade! Millie’s dance choreography and Natalie’s visual arts entries in the Reflections Art Program were named winners in the 32nd district level to compete in the state level. The 32nd District Showcase was held on January 12, 2013 at Alhambra High School in Martinez where winners were presented with medals, ribbons, and certificates. State level competition will be held in April, and we have high hopes for our Cal students. Good luck Ladies!

PTSA's annual Reflections Art Program is here again and we would love to showcase work created by talented Cal High students!!! The Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students sponsored by The National PTA. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art outside of school projects for fun and recognition. Students are encouraged to submit original works of art in six arts areas:
- Dance choreography
- Film production
- Literature
- Musical composition
- Photography
- Visual arts (drawing, painting, collage, metal-etching, fiber work, computer-generated work, etc.)
The 2012-2013 theme is "The Magic of a Moment"
Deadline date to submit entry to Cal High office: Friday, October 26, 2012. Only original works of art are accepted. All Cal High entrants will receive recognition awards. Last year, depending on results, prizes included certificates, pens and gift cards.
